Eva Perlman
Eva Perlman has been a Southern California resident for 20 years, but she
really is a citizen of the world. Born in Germany, her family fled the
country when she was just 18 months old to escape Hitler and the Nazi regime.
She met her husband in Paris, France, then lived in England, Uganda, Northern
California and Canada before settling in the San Fernando Valley to be near her
children. "I'm very grateful for the life I have and for what I do," says
Eva.
Eva loves living in the Valley, especially because of the climate and the urban setting. "It's the best of both worlds – you have access to cultural events and venues without the hassle of a really large city," she states. Active and energetic, Eva operates three businesses from her home. She initially learned about Fountainview from flyers she received in the mail. She came to the Preview Center and fell in love with the idea of senior living. "I don't want to burden my children," Eva says, "and if I ever need healthcare, the Jewish Home is right there to provide for my needs."
The idea of living in a brand new home for the first time is also what attracted Eva to Fountainview – she's looking forward to having a beautifully appointed new apartment with access to all the services and amenities that will be provided. With a smile, Eva states, "Fountainview is going to be beautiful – I love the idea of living there."
