Trudi Weiss
Trudi Weiss has been a Southern Californian resident for over forty years. She hails from Philadelphia and came to
California for a two week vacation at the age of 25 -- and never went back. She met her husband here and together
they raised their three children in the San Fernando Valley. "I know the Valley so well, I wouldn’t want to live
anywhere else," says Trudi.
After her husband died, Trudi lived alone -- and didn’t like it. "You don’t like to think negatively," she says, "but things start to happen when you get older." She maintains a full and active schedule -- on any given day you can find her tap dancing, exercising, enjoying day trips and extended vacations, or socializing with friends. "I’m a people person," she says, and appreciates the fact that she will be surrounded by good neighbors and a continued active lifestyle at Fountainview.
Her goal is to live independently as long as possible, and the initial thought of giving up her home was difficult. Her decision to become a Fountainview resident is based on the fact that, once settled, she won’t have to worry about the future. Trudi credits the Los Angeles Jewish Home with providing the best care around, and looks forward to moving into her new home at Fountainview.
